How Waypoint treats information across the board, the driver app, and shipment tracking.

Effective September 25, 2026

Who we are

Waypoint is a dispatch and load product from Zaavio LLC (“Zaavio,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers the public website, the signed-in board, customer views, public tracking, and the Waypoint driver app on iOS and Android.

Information we collect

We collect what it takes to run loads — not advertising profiles, and not data we sell.

  • Account. Name, email, hashed password, phone number, role, company, and optional driver details. Desk users create driver and customer accounts.
  • Load work. Assignment, status, route, comments, rates the desk sets, and related operational notes.
  • Location. When a driver updates status or a load is live, the app may collect precise GPS (coordinates, time, and a place label). During a live load, check calls continue about every 15 minutes, including in the background, so dispatch and authorized tracking can follow the shipment.
  • Photos. Profile pictures and bill of lading photos, from the camera or the photo library.
  • Device, on the phone. Sign-in tokens, language, active-load state, and optional biometric sign-in. Biometrics stay on the device — we do not receive fingerprint or face templates. If you turn biometric sign-in on, credentials are stored in the phone’s secure storage so the OS can unlock them.
  • Website session. On the board host, sign-in tokens are kept in the browser so you stay signed in.

Location, in particular

Location is for the load, not for ads. We use it to record where a status change happened and to send check calls while a load is live.

Background location runs only while a load is live and the driver has allowed it. When the load is completed or the driver signs out, tracking for that load stops.

Dispatch and operations on that company see location history. Anyone with a load’s tracking ID and passcode can see status and location for that shipment. Customer logins see their own loads; they do not receive driver identity or pay.

How we use it

  • Sign you in and keep the correct company, role, and loads in view.
  • Move a load from assignment through delivery, including maps and check calls.
  • Let dispatch, drivers, and authorized customers see what they need for that load.
  • Store proof of delivery and keep an audit trail of operational changes.
  • Secure the product, fix issues, and meet a legal request if we have to.

Who can see it

We do not sell personal information.

  • Your company. Dispatch and operations at the tenant that assigned the work.
  • Tracking links. Status and location for a shipment, to anyone given that load’s ID and passcode.
  • Processors. Hosting, Google Maps (geocoding and maps), and SMS delivery when a desk uses phone sign-in. They process data for us, not to market to you.

How long we keep it

Account and load records stay for as long as the company uses Waypoint and as needed for the work — including location history and delivery photos attached to a load. Session tokens expire. You can remove biometric sign-in in the app at any time.

Your choices

Drivers can decline location, camera, or photos in system settings; some load steps will not run without them. You can sign out, turn off biometric sign-in, and ask the desk to update your name, email, or phone.

To access, correct, or delete personal information, email usmankayy@zaavio.dev. We may need the desk to confirm the request for company-owned accounts. If you are in California, you can ask what we have, ask us to delete it, and ask us not to sell it — we do not sell it.

Children

Waypoint is for freight operations. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date. Continued use after a change means the new policy applies.
